HOW LONG DOES SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?The longevity of semi-permanent makeup can vary based on factors such as the type of treatment, the individual's skin type, and how well they take care of the treated area. Generally, here's how long you can expect different types of semi-permanent makeup to last: Eyebrows: Semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, like microblading or eyebrow tattooing, typically lasts around 1 to 3 years. Touch-up sessions may be needed to maintain the colour and shape as the pigment gradually fades. Eyeliner: Semi-permanent eyeliner can last between 1 to 5 years, depending on factors like the colour used and the individual's skin type. Lighter colours tend to fade faster than darker ones. Lips: Semi-permanent lip colour can last around 2 to 5 years. Over time, the colour may lighten, and touch-ups can help maintain the desired shade. The body's natural shedding and turnover of skin cells contribute to the gradual fading of the pigment over time. It's important to follow the aftercare instructions provided. Proper care can help extend the life of the semi-permanent makeup. Additionally, exposure to the sun, swimming, and certain skincare products can affect how long the pigment lasts. Regular touch-up sessions may be recommended to refresh the colour and maintain the desired appearance.

WILL MY EYEBROWS LOOK LIKE SLUGS?NO! Permanent make-up is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant the pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than eyebrow pencil or powders. The best brows are those that no-one can tell have been enhanced – and this is what we aim for.
-
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE SHAPE FOR MY SEMI PERMANENT BROWS?We choose a shape and style together based on your skin type and natural features. At the beginning of the procedure, Amy will draw in a suggested shape for your new brows and then you work together to perfect this to your preference and measurements are taken to check symmetry and position. We will work with your features and your preferences. You of course have the final say on your shape and style and we never make a start until you are totally happy.

I already have semi permanent makeup – can’t you just go over them and darken them?If you already have permanent makeup that has faded and maybe needs a colour correction (perhaps they are greyish, or a little warm/pink?) then they must be faded enough for the skin to have ‘room’ in it to accept the new colour. If your work is too saturated, a few removal sessions can help to remove enough ink or pigment to make a correction successful.
-
How is saline removal different than laser?YLasers work by shattering ink into smaller pieces allowing the body to digest them through the immune system. Laser removal can be very successful, however it does tend to only work well on certain colours. and skin that has been laser treated is often difficult to re tattoo – not ideal if you're planning new semi permanent makeup or a cover up.
-
How many treatments will it take to remove a tattoo? On average, tattoos require 2 – 5 sessions, with the sessions being 8-12 weeks apart. The amount of time required for the removal of a tattoo and the success of the removal varies with each individual. Factors influencing this include: skin type, location, colour, amount of ink, scarring or tissue change and layering. If you have semi permanent makeup and you are planning to have your look refreshed or corrected after some removal, you may not need to have that many sessions.
-
Will the tattoo or semi permanent makeup completely disappear? In most cases, if the treatment sessions are continued, then yes. However due to the different factors involved it is not possible to predict how well a tattoo will fade.
