I already have semi permanent makeup – can’t you just go over them and darken them?

If you already have permanent makeup that has faded and maybe needs a colour correction (perhaps they are greyish, or a little warm/pink?) then they must be faded enough for the skin to have ‘room’ in it to accept the new colour. If your work is too saturated, a few removal sessions can help to remove enough ink or pigment to make a correction successful.

How is saline removal different than laser?

Lasers work by shattering ink into smaller pieces allowing the body to digest them through the immune system. Laser removal can be very successful, however it does tend to only work well on certain colours. and skin that has been laser treated is often difficult to re tattoo – not ideal if you're planning new semi permanent makeup or a cover up.

How many treatments will it take to remove a tattoo?

On average, tattoos require 2 – 5 sessions, with the sessions being 8-12 weeks apart. The amount of time required for the removal of a tattoo and the success of the removal varies with each individual. Factors influencing this include: skin type, location, colour, amount of ink, scarring or tissue change and layering. If you have semi permanent makeup and you are planning to have your look refreshed or corrected after some removal, you may not need to have that many sessions.

Will the tattoo or semi permanent makeup completely disappear?

In most cases, if the treatment sessions are continued, then yes. However due to the different factors involved it is not possible to predict how well a tattoo will fade.

Permanent Make-up

This varies from person to person and a colour refresh is recommended on average from 12-24 months after your initial procedure. Powder or ombre styles tend to last slightly longer. This does vary depending on age and skin type. A colour refresh is about half of the original cost.

You should be very very comfortable during your session. Amy’s light handed techniques and numbing agents mean that you needn’t worry about being uncomfortable. Don’t believe us?… read our reviews.

NO! Semi-Permanent is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than eyebrow pencil or powders. The best brows are those that no-one can tell have been enhanced – and this is what we aim for.

We choose a shape and style together. At the beginning of the procedure, Amy will draw in a suggested shape for your new brows and then you work together to perfect this to your preference and measurements are taken to check symmetry and position. We will work with your features and your preferences. You of course have the final say on your shape and style and we never make a start until you are totally happy.
